  1. Identification of the active phase of FeOx/Pt(111) in Low temperature CO oxidation and preferential oxidation of CO reaction
  2. Identification of the fine structure of PtFe near surface alloy and active phase of PtFe alloy in Low temperature CO oxidation
  3. Fabrication of embedding FeO nanostructures and study of corresponding oxidation-resistance behavior
  4. Operando study of FeO/Pt(111) oxidation process for ultra high vacuum (UHV) to near ambient pressure (NAP)
  5. In-situ study of Cu(111) oxidation process at high temperature and high pressure

Experimental skills


  1. Installation and maintenance of NAP-STM (SPECS) compatible to home-built UHV system
  2. NAP-XPS (SPECS) and Synchrotron Radiation PES (Omicron)
  3. Low-temperature STM (Createc) and UHV-XPS (SPECS)
  4. Home built Molecular-Beam based TPD
  5. Cooperation with technicians for the development of TPD (SPECS HT-sample holder) and usage of Molecular Beam based TPD (home-built)
