I am a postdoctoral fellow in Salmeron's group (Materials Science Division). My research is focussed in the study of metallic nanoparticles active in catalytic reactions by high pressure photoemision spectroscopy (HPPS) and X-ray absorption/emission in the Advance Light Source (ALS). Also, I am collaborating with Xingyi Deng in the building of a working unit to test those catalysts in the same conditions (temperature and pressure) as in the ALS in order to elucidate the relationship between the catalytic performance and the electronic structure changes during reaction.
